FK Ventspils of Latvia goalkeeper, Sunday Dele Alampasu has received a solemn congratulatory message from the club’s manager, following his spirited efforts in his official debut for the side, megasportsarena.com reports.
The UAE 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Eaglets’ winning team’s first choice stopper was at his very best in a 3-1 win for his side over Spartaks Jūrmala, and the media unit at Ventspils was filled with glee for the Badagry-born lad, who went the distance in helping his side snatch a very impressive away victory.
The former Portugal and Spain-based youngster returned to the spotlight on the same evening Nigerian players also made their marks in the East European country, as Kazeem Aderounmu opened his account of the season for Ventspils, when he tapped in after a goal-line clearance by Jūrmala’s defensive midfielder, Saminu Abdullahi in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
