New signing at Brentford Town of England, Daniel Oyegoke has declared that his biggest ambition since signing for The Bees is to help them make progress together in the English Premier League, megasportsaena.com reports.
Brentford, who also recently signed Super Eagles’ rookie, Frank Onyeka from their sister club, FC Midtjylland of Denmark, will compete for the first time in the EPL, but Oyegoke believes they can create a huge impact this term.
The former Arsenal of England youth team player added that he is already excited with the environment he entered into at Brentford, where he praised the players for giving him a rousing welcome, which has further boosted his yearnings for success.
He went on to disclose that he is enjoying his time at his new base, where he landed just a month ago, as the England youth international joined The Bees on a three-year contract, with an option of a further year, after turning down a new deal at Arsenal.
Oyegoke was in action for Brentford’s B team as they pulled off impressive wins against League One side, Cambridge United and National League club, Southend United in pre-season friendlies, following which the right-back believes he gained further experience from playing those games.
Oyegoke enthused: “It has been amazing, what I have learned so far has been so much about proper football – men’s football – and that’s what I just want to keep building on.
“Keep building on my knowledge and my game smartness, and just keep progressing and becoming a better player. That’s what I feel I am doing here.”
