Arsenal of England youngster, Bukayo Saka is still basking in the euphoria of another well-taken goal off his boots in the English Premier League, and a fresh does of plaudits are coming his way at the same time from The Gunners’ gaffer, Mikel Arteta, megasportsarena.com reports.
A 3-1 win against Southampton on Tuesday means Arsenal’s revival is still on course, much to Arteta’s delight and the gaffer says the surge of partly due to what he called the precocious values Saka has been able to show in action with the club.
He added that the 19-year-old Saka makes decisions that are not usual for his age and splashed fresh accolades on the Nigerian-born England international for his man-of-the-match display in the latest win away to Southampton.
In helping The Gunners exert revenge over The Saints for bundling them out of the English FA Cup few days earlier, Saka scored one and assisted another goal , as Arsenal made it five wins from six in the EPL, thereby moving them into the top half of the log for the first time since mid-November.
Saka has scored four goals and registered two assists, as the dark-skinned natural left-footer keeps showing how pivotal he is for The Gunners’ spirited run, much to the delight of Arteta, who says the youngster shows leadership qualities and abilities that are well beyond his age.
Arteta submitted: “He’s been very consistent through the season, we play him in different positions and he is adapting well. His finishing, assisting, link-up play is good, it was a really strong performance.
“He’s really humble, really respectful and at the same time has that character to demand the ball, to make decisions that are not very usual for his age. We need that leadership and he’s gaining that with his attitude and his performances.
“He’s all the time asking to train more to improve in areas that he can do better. That was certainly one, producing the final bit in the box to score or assist. He’s doing that much more often.
“If he’s able to do that with the intelligence that he has, with the work rate that he shows on the pitch and with the capacity that he has to understand the game in different positions, then he becomes a really different player.”
