Arsenal of England winger, Bukayo Saka has admitted he is in a dilemma over his international future, as he is cut between choosing the Super Eagles or Three Lions, megasportsarena.com reports.
With Saka still eligible to play for both England and Nigeria at senior level, the dark-skinned youngster will have to make his choice soon, considering the pace with which he is growing in Arsenal’s ranks, and the lad confessed it is one big decision he is finding hard to take.
He, however, pointed out that he has not been officially approached by either Nigeria or England, thereby leaving his options very open, of which he promised to arrive at a conclusion soon and make his verdict public at the most opportune time.
The left-footed youngster, who has scored two goals and assisted five in 15 appearances across all competitions this season, made his English Premier League debut for The Gunners in January 2017 against Fulham, but he has enjoyed a regular run this term.
Although The Gunners’ former coach, Unai Emery played him basically down the left flank, the new gaffer, Freddie Ljungberg has been forced to detail the lad from a defensive role, mostly due to injuries to the regular left backs, Sead Kolašinac and Kieran Tierney.
Saka told BBC Sport: “I’m always thinking about it (choosing between Nigeria and England) but I haven’t made a decision. No-one has been in touch but when I make a decision you will find out. It’s just something I have always dreamed of, coming up from the academy to the first team.”
