Queens Park Rangers of England have spotted the player they expected to step into the shoes of their outgoing Nigerian-born winger, Bright Osayi-Samuel, who is currently drawing lots of summer transfer attention from a number of top clubs in and outside Queensland.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, with offers tumbling in one-by-the-dozen for the former Super Eagles’ invitee ahead of the summer transfer window, QPR have moved fast to put an instant alternative on the cards.
With Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion both putting lots of heat on The Rs for Osayi-Samuel’s signature in the coming month, a report by West London Sport disclosed that QPR are already taking a look at Axel Urie as the man set to replace the Nigerian winger this summer.
The 21-year-old Urie is out of contract at Guingamp of France, thereby making him an attractive option at a time when clubs around Europe are having to cope with the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
QPR are now weighing their options of taking Urie on in place of Osayi-Samuel, who has already hit home five goals and seven assists in the English Championship during the current campaign, leaving the London-based club to trigger a 12-month option in his contract, but the 22-year-old lad has left them in a position where they may have to cash in on his signature this summer.
