The latest weekend of action in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) passed with Abia Warriors of Umuahia enacting the biggest win margin, as they thrashed visiting Warri Wolves of Delta State 4-1, megasportsarena.com reports.
The next big win came for FC Ifeanyiubah of Nnewi, who were 3-0 winners over Katsina United, while table-topping Kwara United of Ilorin fell 1-0 away to Rangers International of Enugu at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in The Coal City.
That result saw The Flying Antelopes climb to fourth position with 20 points, just one behind The Afonja Warriors, while former champions, Kano Pillars slumped 1-0 at Lobi Stars of Makurdi, while MFM FC of Lagos stopped bottom placed robbery victims, Adamawa United of Yola 2-0.
On a day Jigawa Golden Stars of Jalingo also pipped visiting Nasarawa United of Lafia 1-0, former NPFL hotshot, Godwin Obaje scored a brace that helped Abia Warriors recover from a goal down to spank their visitors in the biggest win on the day and it lifted them out of relegation zone.
