Another angle has emerged in the interest being shown in Lille Metropole of France striker, Victor Osimhen by Liverpool of England, as The Reds are now ready to show how serious they are about snatching him this summer with an audacious double raid worth £110m, megasportsarena.com reports.
The stakes are now higher than ever for Lille, to either consider allowing Osimhen go or not, as they are now facing the stark reality that they are bound to make a lot of money from his likely move to Anfield, where his current teammate at French Ligue 1 club, Boubakary Soumare is also wanted.
The report by Le 10 Sport reveals that Lille have been formally hit with information that Osimhen could be on his way to Merseyside this summer, as Liverpool are eyeing a double deal for him and Soumare, in a combined swoop that is expected to cost £110m in total.
Osimhen has been on Liverpool’s shopping list since the January transfer window, but the failed to make a formal move for the former VfL Wolfsburg of Germany and Sporting Charleroi of Belgium youngster, who is now also wanted by five of The Reds EPL rivals – Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and Manchester United.
He is now bound to be joined in the switch from Lille to Anfield by Soumare, though both players have also been watched by United, Newcastle and Chelsea, who will have to raise at least £60m to buy Osimhen, while his teammate is expected to cost around the £50m mark.
However, an additional report by Italian daily newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, Serie A giants, AC Milan have identified Osimhen as a potential summer signing and ideal replacement for Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
