Fernebahce of Turkey winger, Victor Moses has admitted he faced a torrid time in the last part of 2019, as injuries wrecked his ambitions with the Turkish Super Lig club, and caused them to start thinking of sending him back to his parent club, Chelsea of England, megasportsarena.com gathered.
Moses has now come out with a determined declaration that he is not thinking of returning to Chelsea, as he wants to fight for his place with The Yellow Canaries, and believes 2020 will turn out to be better for him.
The former Super Eagles winger believes he still has what it takes to make the best of his career with Fernebahce, hence his declaration that he will stay put in the January transfer window and put in his very best to ensure he gets the best out of the second half of the current season.
Consequently, Moses is now bracing up for better days ahead of him, and vowed to see out the remainder of his contract with Fernebahce, amid wide speculations linking him with a return to Chelsea in the January transfer window.
Rather than think of returning to London, the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic of England dazzler, who embarked on his first loan spell outside Queensland last January, after falling out of favour under Chelsea’s former boss, Maurizio Sarri, is now thinking of returning to serious training with his teammates before the Turkish top-flight league resumes.
Moses will also aim to better his form of the first four months he spent with Ferne, when he ended the 2018/19 season with his highest domestic league goals tally in seven years, with four strikes in 14 appearances during his maiden campaign in the Turkish Super Lig.
He started the current campaign with injury, but still managed to put in some top form down the way, scoring once and producing an assist in the season opener against Gaziantep FK, only for him to suffer a muscle-related complaint that kept him out for two months.
After returning to the pitch in October, Moses suffered a relapse of the injury, which has now kept him out of action up till now, but Moses is thinking big about making a spirited return at the start of January and wants to make the best of 2020 with Fernebahce.
Moses told Fotomac: “Injuries affected me, but I will make a real contribution to the team in the league’s second half.”
