Former South Africa-based ex-Super Eagles striker, Raphael Chukwu Ndukwe has charged Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to ensure they line up series of top-grade friendly matches for the national team ahead of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Ndukwe called on the NFF to ensure the Eagles get many build-up games to play before heading out to Cameroon in June 2019.
Ndukwe opined that such matches would allow Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr thoroughly test his tactics and try as many players as possible.
“We need to see the Eagles play many matches before they go for the Nations Cup,” said the former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs hitman.
“Such matches would enable the coach see a couple of fringe players and new ones before they go to Cameroon.
“Just a game against Uganda wouldn’t be enough to draw conclusions on what some players will be bringing to the team.”
