Girondins-Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu is bound to be out injured until early December at the earliest, despite having already spent five weeks out, megasportsarena.com reports.
In contrast with high expectations that the former SK Trencin of Slovakia and KAA Gent of Belgium star would be back playing for his club this weekend against Stade Rennes, a startling declaration has come about his ongoing rehabilitating.
This is the terse verdict of Kalu’s coach at Bordeaux, Jean-Louis Gasset, as he revealed that the versatile player, who got injured while playing for Nigeria in last month’s international friendly against Algeria, is not yet match fit.
Rather than line Kalu up for a part of the upcoming fixture against Rennes, Gasset declared that the Nigerian lad will not be rushed back into action too soon.
Although he further disclosed that Kalu has resumed full training with his teammates, Gasset suggested that his usuaully reliable utility lad, who previously started three straight French Ligue 1 games against Olympique Lyon, OGC Nice and Dijon will not feature in the next game at Roazhon Park.
Gasset expatiated: “Samuel Kalu resumed training with us on Monday after five weeks of hiatus . You have to be very careful, patient. I don’t think he will start but we will gradually increase him so that he will be there during the month … December.”
