Girondins-Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu is edging closer to a January transfer window exit from the Ligue 1 club, as his presence in the squad is no longer assured, megasportsarena.com reports.
After missing a chain of matches of recent in the French top-flight, Kalu has now been found absent in three training sessions with the club, thereby further raising speculation about his impending departure in the coming month.
Details of the report out of Bordeaux indicate further that Kalu is already in doubt for his club’s first match of 2020 against Le Mans, as the ex-AS Trencin of Slovenia and KAA Gent of Belgium winger has not been part of his team’s full training sessions since the middle of December.
This is coming amidst links for him from Arsenal of England, Real Betis of Spain and Hertha Berlin of Germany, while a French newspaper, Sud Ouest reported on Monday that Kalu did not participate in training for the third straight day.
Although a hint further emerged that Kalu is recovering from illness, feelers indicate that his days are numbered at Bordeaux, after losing his place in the starting line-up and with only four starts in the club’s last ten fixtures of 2019.
