UD Almeria of Spain in-form striker, Sadiq Umar has admitted that he is eager to keep scoring for the Spanish second division side and help them achieve promotion back to the top-flight LaLiga at the end of this season.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, after netting his 13th goal of the campaign in the 78th minute of Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Castellon, Umar promised that the hard work will continue for ambitious Almeria in the Segunda Division.
Almeria remain third on the table with 45 points from 22 matches, but could topple Espanyol in second place, which carries an automatic passage back to LaLiga, such that Umar, who scored six goals for FK Partizan of Serbia in the first half of the season, hopes to keep hitting the target.
Sadiq told SCORENigeria: “I thank God, I feel great, I am blessed. It’s not easy to score six goals in the last four games. But I will keep on working because hard work pays and then we will see what will happen at the end of the season.”
