RSC Anderlecht of Belgium youngster, Paul Mukairu has revealed details of the technical and oral support he is gaining from his club’s coach and Belgian ex-international, Vincent Kompany, who the attacker praised for putting his career on the right track, megasportsarena.com reports.
At a point Kompany is also heaping praises Mukairu for stepping right into the frame of things with the first team and showing total commitment to the side’s aspirations, the player himself is thanking the former Manchester City of England captain for setting him in the proper direction.
“Paul has everything to become a special player,” Kompany said about Mukairu, after the highly-promising winger notched his second goal in the Belgian Jupiler League, in response to which the rising star acknowledged huge contributions the coach has made in his development.
Particular reference has been made about Mukairu’s goal against Germinal-Beerschot the previous weekend, but the 20-year-old lad has also provided two assists for Belgium’s most successful club and helped them move up to fourth place in the top-flight league.
The 2-0 home win over Beerschot was Mukairu’s seventh straight start for the Brussels-based outfit, which are undergoing a massive revival under Kompany, and the Nigerian youngster admits he is very happy to be playing under a former player he remembers admiring from afar when he starred for Man City in the English Premier League.
Mukairu gave credit to the gaffer for the goal he scored against Beerschot, even as he revealed trade secrets that the ex-international keeps handing down to him, as he stated on Anderlecht’s Twitter handle: “Coach Vincent always says: ‘if you have the ball, always go with intensity.’ When that space came, I took advantage of it.”
