Nigerian women national team, Super Falcons’ defender, Osinachi Ohale has expressed delight with her return to Real Madrid CFF after a short spell at AS Roma of Italy’s female team, megasportsarena.com reports.
Ohale said she is already excited getting back to the Madrid Femenino squad she first starred for last season, with 15 appearances in the league and two goals to her name, as she found game time hard to get during her brief stint with Roma.
She eventually left the Italian top-flight club without making a league debut, but a new lease of life has come for the hard as nails stopper, who began her career with Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt in 2008, followed by spells at Delta Queens of Asaba and Houston Dash of USA.
After returning for a second spell with Rivers Angels in 2015, Ohale later moved to Sweden, where she played for Vittsjö GIK and Växjö DFF, but she now joins Rita Chikwelu, Chidinma Okeke and Nigerian-born 2018 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup winner, Mabel Okoye at Madrid.
The 29-year-old Ohale, who made 15 appearances and scored twice for Madrid’s second team, CD Tacon before moving to Roma on a year’s deal, took to social media to state delight with her latest move back to Real Femenino, just one month after going to Rome.
Ohale, who played for Nigeria at four editions of Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), all of which she helped the Super Falcons win, and starred at three FIFA Women’s World Cup events, posted: “Happy to join Madrid CFF vamos 💪🏽.”
