SSC Napoli of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen has gained verba support in his battle to regain fitness, after bowing out to a shoulder injury in action with the Super Eagles against Sierra Leone, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although the former VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, Sporting Charleroi of Belgium and Lille Metropole of France youngster has been ruled out of Napoli’s next two matches, this Sunday in the Italian Serie A and on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League, one of his agents is now hoping the lad ‘gets everything sorted out soon.’
This is the enthusiasm held by Roberto Calenda, who equally stressed that Osimhen has not suffered a relapse of a similar injury he copped during his horny days at Wolfsburg, where the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalist and top scorer suffered in quick succession a chain of complaints to his meniscus, calf and shoulder.
It was a shoulder injury that ruled Osimhen out of Wolfsburg’s last five league matches of the 2017/18 season, but Calenda insists what his ward copped on international duty at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City was not the same with what he suffered during his ime in Germany.
Calenda told Napolipiu: “It was a bad fall with Nigeria , a good blow, but it happens in football. We all hope that the guy gets everything sorted out as soon as possible. Each injury has a history of its own. (This) one is not like the previous one, it is not a relapse. At Wolfsburg it was another type of injury.”
