Crystal Palace of England youngster, Michael Olise is once again in the news concerning dilemma over his international future, but his coach at the English Premier League club has opted to stay out of it, megasportsarena.com reports.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, while Olise is still considering his options before settling for one of Nigeria, Algeria or France for senior national team action, Palace coach, Patrick Vieria has stylishly stopped short of making any pronouncement on the matter.
Instead of chipping in a word or two for or against Nigeria among the permutations, the former Arsenal of England battler and skipper played coy, as the Frenchman prefers to be non-committal over the matter.
Vieria disclosed that he is yet to discuss the matter with Olise, as the winger is yet to ask him for advice on the issue, but the gaffer also reasoned that it should be a family decision.
This comes a point additional reports indicate that England’s coach, Gareth Southagte has got Olise on his radar for a potential call-up, even as the lad remains eligible for France, Nigeria and Algeria.
It is now left to be seen which choice would be made by Olise, who was only last season playing in the English Championship with Reading but has since dazzled the English Premier League with The Eagles.
Olise, who played for France at the 2019 Toulon Youth Tournament, will now weigh his future in a different perspective, after Vieria stated: “That is the decision that he has to make as a player.
“That is a family decision, so he didn’t come to ask me for advice. What is important for Michael is that at the moment he’s playing well.
“His focus and concentration has to be on Crystal Palace. How to work well in training and keep performing like he has been doing in the last couple of games.”
