AS Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina will be facing a crucial decision on his future with the Italian Serie A club come July 1, as that will mark the beginning of the last lap of his current contract, megasportsarena.com reports.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that several odds are currently staked against Aina continuing with the Turin-based side beyond that date, as he has gradually lost his status in their stating 11.
Such it was that the former Chelsea, Hull City and Fulham of England right-back was shut out for 190 days before he finally got a feel of action with The Maroons.
Aina, who will enter the final 12 months of his contract with Torino on July 1, got his first appearance of this year with the club on Sunday and helped them play out a goalless draw with AC Milan.
His return to action with Torino came as a substitute in place Stephane Singo with 27 minutes remaining, before which his last match for the club was against Inter Milan on December 22, 2021.
Incidentally, Aina lost his spot in Torino’s starting line-up following his absence on international duty with the Super Eagles at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Aina, who helped Torino achieve a third clean slate in five matches, will now aim to consolidate on his outing against Milan, who featured his Nigerian-born pal and former Chelsea colleague, Fikayo Tomori.
