Deportivo de La Coruña of Spain defender, Mujaid Sadick is set to leave the Spanish Segunda Liga outfit for a fee of 1.7 million euro this summer, following interest expressed in his services by Racing Genk of Belgium.
Although the youngster is yet to cement his place in the mainframe at La Coruña and is still largely unknown on the European scene, Sadick is reportedly in advanced talks with the SPaniash club that recently had Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Francis Odinaka Uzoho on their cards.
Megasportsarena.com gatheerd from a report by Spanish newspaper, La Opinion A Coruna that the Segunda División B club have already agreed terms of a transfer deal with Genk in exchange for 1.7 million euro, but the fee could rise with bonuses.
This is despite the fact that Sadick was left out of La Coruña’s squad for their last league match away to Numancia this past weekend, but that has now been explained as another consequence of his imminent departure from the club.
Sadick, who was born in Logroño, Spain, but is eligible to play for the national teams of Ghana and Nigeria, has so far this season started 23 of 24 matches he was involved in for La Coruña and he is currently regarded as the best center back in the Segunda División B.
The 21-year-old Sadick, who has been with Los Blanquiazules since 2016, after arriving from Valvanera, became the youngest player of Nigerian descent to feature in LaLiga, when he made his top-flight debut for Deportivo against Villarreal on May 12, 2018, aged 18 years and 59 days, beating the record previously held by Watford’s Isaac Success in the process.
