Former Manchester United of England youth team player, Moses Odubajo returned to haunt his former club, as he got one of the goals that helped Queens Park Rangers pull off a shock 4-2 win against The Red Devils.
Megasportsaena.com reports that Odubajo struck his side’s third goal in the 38th minutes of the pre-season friendly decided at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, and his side shot into a 3-1 lead.
The fourth goal came just 60 seconds later, as United suffered a torrid afternoon in West London, as the English Championship side dealt a rude blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s new contract extension and preparations for the season.
That was despite the fact that Jesse Lingard gave United the lead after just three minutes, but it lasted for just four minutes, as Charlie Austin’s header brought the hosts level.
Astonighly, on the day Solskjaer was celebrating a new contract at Old Trafford, his afternoon turned sour as QPR ran riot at the start of the second half.
Mark Warburton’s side scored three goals in eight minutes through substitute Lydon Dykes (53, 59) and Odubajo (58) to leave the home fans in party mood.
While Shola Shoretire failed to make an impact after stepping off United’s bench late on, it just kept getting better and better for the hosts, as Odubajo cut in from the left before smashing a left-footed strike past Lee Grant and into the top corner of the net.
United’s substitute, Anthony Elanga pulled a goal back for the visitors, but it only proved to be a consolation, as Solskjaer was handed a wake-up call ahead of the new English Premier League campaign.
