Reading of England youngster, Michael Olise has received a hefty price tag of £40m placed on his shoulders, as the English Championship side want to cash in on top form being displayed by the Nigerian-born Holland-youth international, megasportsarena.com reports.
With Olise showing immense skills and talent in only his first season in England, following his arrival from Ajax Amsterdam of Holland in the summer, various media reports out of Queensland indicate that Reading will demand an astonishing transfer fee from clubs interested in securing the left-footed playmaker in the coming month.
Indeed, Olise is already ranking among the most productive teenagers in England’s top four football division’s so far this season, with two goals and six assists to his name in 16 matches, such that the frenetic attention he is attracting from Championship clubs and some in the top-flight English Premier League is quite understandable.
A report by British tabloid, The Sun UK noted that a price tag of £30m to £40m has been placed on Olise’s head, in a bid to scare off potential suitors, even as the former Chelsea Academy lad’s future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, due to his fine start to the season.
The report adds: “The likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea, Manchester City, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, are keeping tabs on the 18-year-old while Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Monaco and Napoli are on the list of foreign clubs mulling over a move for the precocious talent.
“He joined Reading in 2016 following his release by Manchester City and has racked up 44 appearances for the Royals since his first team debut against Leeds United whilst still a scholar. Olise’s contract with Madejski Stadium outfit runs out at the end of the 2021-2022 season.”
