A slump in rating for Molde FK of Norway striker, Leke James has turned out to be one of the major highlights in a season review by Eurosports’ cable channel and website, which noted that the Nigerian icon fell below expectations in the just concluded campaign.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, in contrast with great expectations that James would emerge among the league’s shining lights this year, a season-ending survey by Eurosports noted that the striker’s ratings in the Norwegian top-flight dropped.
As against expectations that he would rate among the top-five or ten this term, James dropped to 33rd for the just concluded season, which is in stark contrast with how he placed ninth at the end of the previous campaign.
Consequently, Eurosports has described the past season as a disappointing one for the 26-year-old striker, who also scored fewer goals than the previous season and his club lost their league title to Bodo/Glimt on the last day of the campaign.
Eurosports noted in their review: “There were huge expectations for Leke before the season after a great pre-season. But a lot of issues lowered these expectations.
“He has had a disappointing season. But it says a lot about his quality that despite a lot of minor injuries and a mediocre campaign, he still scored 13 goals in 16 starts.”
