Milwaukee Bucks of America sensation, Giannis Adetokunbo (Antetokounmpo) returned with a big bang in USA’s National Basketball Association (NBA) league, as he put up a brilliant performance that helped his side romp to victory against Orlando Magic.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, on a night fans never thought they would get thrills from the Nigerian-born Greece international, Antetokounmpo netted 22 points and grabbed six rebounds on his return from injury as the Milwaukee Bucks saw off the Orlando Magic 121-99.
The reigning NBA most valuable player previously sat out Milwaukee’s win over Cleveland Cavaliers with a back complaint, but he returned in style to help The Bucks to a second successive victory, while Bobby Portis and Khris Middleton both contributed 20 points.
Same night in the NBA, Pascal Siakam recorded a triple-double – 22 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists – but his team, Toronto Raptors fell to Portland Trail Blazers 112-111, but it was CJ McCollum, who top scored for Portland with 30 points, that got the game winner on a jump shot with less than 10 seconds to play.
Elsewhere, Gordon Hayward scored 34 points in a 109-88 victory for Charlotte Hornets over New York Knicks, Memphis Grizzlies overcame Cleveland Cavaliers 101-91 and Bradley Beal led the scoring with 34 points as Washington Wizards saw off Phoenix Suns 128-107.
Atlanta Hawks outscored Philadelphia 76ers 37-18 in the second quarter on their way to a resounding 112-94 win, with Trae Young getting 26 points, while Sacramento Kings edged past Victor Oladipo’s Indiana Pacers 127-122, but the clash between Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans was postponed.
