FC Midtjylland of Denmark midfielder, Frank Onyeka is bound to fetch the Scandinavian outfit a princely sum of 13.4 million euro should he succeed in making a move to Brentford Town of England this summer, megasportsarena.com reports.
Midtjylland are already resigned to losing the Super Eagles’ rookie at the end of the current season, but that will come a at a massive gain for them, other things being equal, according to information provided by Nordic Bet.
An additional report by Tipsbladet confirmed that Onyeka is being tipped to join Brentford in the summer transfer window if they are promoted to the English Premier League, which would mean him leaving Midtjylland on a high.
The report adds that Midtjylland retained Onyeka in their ranks for the 2020-2021 season due to their participation in this season’s UEFA Champions League, but they would be in line to pocket 13.4m euro as transfer fee for the product of FC Ebedie of Sagamu should his proposed transfer to Brentford pull through.
This is sequel to a ‘a gentleman’s agreement’ that was reached with Onyeka’s agent to allow the fast-rising holding midfielder leave the current Danish champions in the summer, who have received an equally tempting offer from VfB Stuttgart of Germany.
However, Oyeka wants to live a long-held dream of playing in the EPL, which has put Brentford in pole position for his signature, as they are currently third in the English Championship with 44 points.
The Bees have, however, played a game less than Swansea City, who occupy the Championship’s last automatic promotion berth, and they look like a good site in the next chapter of the development for Onyeka, who has scored 15 goals in 102 first team appearances with FCM.
