Chelsea of England youth team player, Chelsea’s winter acquisition Bryan Fiabema has finally got his debut with The Blues’ development squad, as he lined out in a 4-0 spanking of Brighton & Hove Albion.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that Fiabema made his debut for Chelsea in their latest U18 Premier League match at Cobham on Friday night, as the lad, whose father nis from Port Harcourt, donned jersey number 14 for the London-based hosts.
The fast-rising attacker, who also has citizenship of Norway, replaced Myles Peart-Harris for his Chelsea debut with 22 minutes left on the clock, and had the ball in the opponents’ net just few minutes after entering the fray.
However, the 17-year-old was disappointed seeing the referee rule him out for offside, after he fired past The Seagulls’ goalkeeper, Roco Rees; in an encounter that saw Fiabema become the third Nigerian-born lad to play for Chelsea U18s this season – after Jordan Aina and Faustino Anjorin.
Fiabema, who is also the youngest player of Nigerian descent to feature in Norway’s top-flight Tippeligaen, aged 16 years, 4 months and 28 days when he made his debut for Tromso against FK Haugesund on July 14, 2019, had earlier been on international duty with the Scandinavian country’s under-17 squad in February, during friendlies against Croatia, Poland and Georgia.
