Femi Fapetu Joins England’s U15 Squad For Torneo Delle Nazioni Participation

Manchester City of England youngster, Femi Fapetu has taken a major step forward in his aspirations for international allegiance with the country of his birth, as he is with the U15 Lions at this year’s Torneo Delle Nazioni.

Megasportsarena.com reports that, with high hopes of growing into a full-fledged England international already on his mind, Fapetu is seizing the golden opportunity of playing himself into reckoning at the 18th edition of the prestigious tournament.

His outing at the 2022 Torneo Delle Nazioni sees Fapetu follow the footsteps of Nigerian-born former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Nonso Madueke, who featured for England in the 2017 edition.

The attacking midfielder, who is capable of multiple roles in the middle of the pack, kicked-off the tourney with a starting spot in The Young Lions’ 5-0 spanking of Chile in their opening game on Monday.

England, who are in Group A of the competition, will take on Italy in their last first round game this Wednesday, with many eyes again expected to be on Fapetu, who was at Arsenal for nine years before joining City in August 2021.
