Shoretire Gets Another Chance With Manchester United’s Main Team

Manchester United of England’s youth team player, Shola Shoretire has gained yet another opportunity of training with the main squad, as the Nigerian-born lad was called upon for this week’s fixture.

Shoretire, who is edging much closer to becoming a mainstay in United’s matchday plans, ventured into a couple of attacking options alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga.

Megasportsarena.com reports that the England under-19 international continues impressing The Reed Devils’ coach, Ralf Rangnick, who again ran the rule over the fast-rising lad ahead of Thursday’s English Premier League clash with Chelsea.

It is another opportunity for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder to make his mark, after taking part in at least one training session before the clash with Arsenal last weekend but was not named in the squad to London.

Shoretire could jolly well get his chance to play on Thursday, as Rangnick is sweating over the fitness of Paul Pogba (calf injury) and Fred (hip flexor problem), while Edinson Cavani (calf injury) and Luke Shaw (knee injury) are not available for selection.

The potential absence of Pogba and Fred has pushed Shoretire up the pecking order of midfielders, though he is still behind Bruno Fernandes, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and McTominay for a spot.
