Almeria Striker Umar Sadiq Opens Door To Roma Return

Umar Sadiq says he will always consider Roma as a “second home” and won’t mind returning to Jose Mourinho side, Megasportsarena.com reports.

The Nigeria forward’s first Italian club was Spezia as a a teenager in 2014 and was sent on Lon to Roma one year later.

After scoring eight goals in his first three Primavera matches for the capital city club, Sadiq earned his senior debut for the Giallorossi in 2015.

The Rome giants saw enough to buy Sadiq on a permanent basis, but things didn’t go as planned for the youngster.

Sadiq would spend the next four years on six different loan spells with Bologna, Torino, NAC Breda, Rangers, Perugia and Partizan Belgrade.

Now 25, Sadiq has revitalised his career with two strong seasons for Spanish second division side Almeria in which he has scored 36 goals in 70 league appearances.

Asked if he would consider re-joining Roma, Sadiq said : “Roma is my second home. I have my house there and my family.

“Roma gives me a beautiful atmosphere and everything for me. You never know the future. But for now I need to remain focused on my career at UD Almeria.”
