VfL Osnabrück of Germany defender, Felix Agu is set to seal a switch to Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga this summer, following rising speculation about his transfer prospects, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although Osnabrück initially expressed strong desire to keep Agu for another season, latest reports indicate that they are now considering cashing in on his rising stock.
The versatile full-back-cum-central defender is sure to fetch Osnabrück lots of money int he summer transfer window, as his latest market value has shot to an all-time career high for the lad with a Nigerian father, but was born in Germany.
Figures released by Transfermarkt revealed that Agu is now valued at two million euros, which is 750,000 euros more than his status three months ago, but he is set to join Bremen this summer as a free agent, considering that his current deal will end with the current season.
The Germany youth international, who has played in non-competitive matches for their under-21 team, is now the highest ranked player at Osnabrück and 36th most expensive player in the German 2. Bundesliga, while also rated 247th among all right backs in the league.
Before the season was halted by coronavirus, Agu started 18 of 23 matches for Osnabruck in the second-tier league, where he also has six assists to his name, all of which have added up to make him very credible summer transfer bait for Werder Bremen.
