Chelsea of England youngster, Faustino Anjorin is set to leave Stamford Bridge for a loan deal at Lokomotiv Moscow of Russia, which long ago had former Super Eagles’ winger, Victor Obinna Nsofor (For Real) in their ranks.
Megasportsarena.com reports that the Moscow-based club, which also recently had Ezekiel Henry (Henty) on their cards, will have the pleasure of lining out the precocious lad for the new season, once they formalize an impending agreement with Chelsea.
Consequently, Anjorin leaves Chelsea on a temporary basis, as he is scheduled to arrive in the Russian capital on Thursday, with a view to possibly signing a contract with the Russian Premier League club.
A report by Eurostavka added that the Nigerian-born England youth international will train with Lokomotiv before signing their contract, as the winger and attacking midfielder is still on the radar of several other top clubs, less than a week to the end of this summer’s transfer window.
As deadline day looms to shut the transfer market in the major European leagues, the 19-year-old Anjorin is eager to quickly put pen to paper in Moscow, as the arrival of Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea knocked him further down the pecking order of forwards at Stamford Bridge.
Anjorin, who is under contract with Chelsea until the end of the 2024/25 season, has opted to seek regular playing time elsewhere, rather than compete with Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Lukaku for a spot in the starting 11.
