Ese Brume Set For Diamond League Final After 2nd Place Finish At ISTAF

Ese Brume finished 2nd in the women’s Long Jump event at the Internationales Stadionfest (ISTAF) meet in Berlin, Germany on Sunday.

Megasportsarena.com reports that she jumped 6.78m to finish behind Malaika Mihambo of Germany who won the event, with a leap of 6.92m.

The German only had one legal jump in six attempts, and it was her first jump!

Brume will feature in her first Diamond League final next week, punching her ticket to the showpiece in Zurich.

Brume had gotten her first ever victory at a Diamond League meet, winning the women’s Long Jump event, leaping a distance of 6.83m in Brussels, Belgium.

Brume alongside world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, are the two Nigerian athletes who will be competing in the Diamond League final next week.
