Tottenham Hotspur of England midfielder, Bamidele Alli has received some comforting news in the update about his transfer situation, as Paris-Saint Germaine of France have reportedly sent their sporting director, Leonardo sound out his agents about a possible move next month.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, with Alli currently out of favour at Spurs, the Nigerian-born lad is seeking a pleasant and viable alternative in the January transfer window, which has now been boosted by news that PSG are now in talks with his agents.
The report adds that PSG’s technical chief, Leonardo has made fresh contact with Alli’s agents after receiving little encouragement when he made the initial attempt a month ago and, with the Paris-based side now set to announce former Spurs coach, Mauricio Pochettino as their new coach, the England international could be on his way to joining the French Ligue 1 outfit.
Alli’s approach to the PSG link has changed, particularly as Pochettino is set to take charge and the Nigerian-born dazzler is keen to play for the Argentine again, especially as he accepts that there is little chance of regular action for him at Spurs.
This comes at a point additional reports indicate that Tottenham’s coach, Jose Mourinho is set to offload Alli in order to make way for RB Leipzig of German’s in-form battler, Marcel Sabitzer, who British daily, Evening Standard disclosed is high on the Portuguese gaffer’s shortlist.
The report submitted: “The Austrian is believed to be interested in the prospect of playing for Tottenham, particularly under Mourinho. He’s a player Spurs know well after his double helped sink them in the Champions League last 16 before lockdown earlier this year.
“He’s an option that the Tottenham hierarchy have considered before and if Alli does depart, a move is expected. Ultimately, any decision may boil down to Mourinho’s verdict on Alli and whether he believes there is a way back for him at Tottenham.”
