Tottenham Hotspur of England’s Nigerian-born dazzler, Bamidele Alli is attracting January transfer attention from Paris Saint-Germaine of France and Newcastle United, with fresh options coming the way of the out-of-favour midfielder heading into the New Year.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, with Spurs seemingly not in need of Alli’s services any longer, their English Premier League rivals from Saint James’ Park are eager to outwit the more prestigious PSG in hooking the England international, and they have lined up a sensational bid for the for him.
The Magpies have reportedly lined up an ambitious and speculative move for Alli, who was again left out of Spurs’ squad for last weekend’s EPL fixture and looks set to leave the London-based club, but British newspaper, The Telegraph reports that any move to Newcastle would be on loan.
Another British newspaper, The Mirror added that Newcastle’s coach, Steve Bruce is hoping to strike a ‘cut-price’ deal for Alli, but his bait may not be good enough, as The Magpies are facing a rival bid from PSG, who look likely to sign former Tottenham coach, Mauricio Pochettino in the coming hours.
A third British newspaper, Daily Mail further disclosed that PSG, who failed with three loan offers for Alli in the summer, are preparing to renew their efforts to sign the midfielder, at a point widespread views indicate that Spurs are finally ready to sanction his exit.
With the transfer window set to reopen next week, it remains to be seen whether Alli will take the options from either Newcastle or PSG, even as his omission last Sunday, in a game when the Spurs’ coach, Jose Mourinho was allowed to name nine substitutes, appeared to have affirmed that the 24-year-old has no future under the Portuguese gaffer.
