Bayern Munich of Germany defender, avid Olatokunbo Alaba has added another condition to factors that would make him accept a summer transfer to one of Europe’s big clubs, as he is eager to join a team that will allow him play in central defence.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, although Alaba shot to limelight playing as left-back for The Bavarians and he stars in midfield as well as playing the role of captain for Austria’s national team, the Nigerian-born lad is now aiming at staring from centre back.
Observers believe this is mostly because Alaba is now aging and, with the prospect of linking forces with another top team this summer, the dark-skinned defender, who is wanted by Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City of England as well as Real Madrid of Spain and Paris-Saint Germaine of France is now seeking some comfort before retirement.
A report by tribalfootball added: “Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid target David Alaba is not leaving Bayern Munich solely due to money. The Austrian defender, who can also play in midfield, wants £10 million or more in annual wages at his new club.
“Alaba is out of contact this summer and will not renew with Bayern. According to Le Parisien, Alaba wants a big salary, but also wants to play as a defensive midfielder for his next team. Whoever can offer him the role could secure his signature.”
