Bayern Munich of Germany’s Nigerian-born defender, David Olatokunbo Alaba is heading for a hefty pay day at Real Madrid of Spain, as the dark-skinned left-back will reportedly earn €12m (£10.44m) with the Spanish LaLiga outfit.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, although he considered advanced in age and already a veteran of the game, after over ten years at Munich, Alaba has been able to attract a massive rating in the current market value and looks set to repeat bountifully at Madrid.
The report out of The Land Of The Armada adds that Alaba will be on the same salary as Real’s long-serving captain, Sergio Ramos when the Nigerian-born Austria international makes the switch this summer, as he finally ends his 13-year association with The Bavarians.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano affirmed that Real are the strong favourites to sign Alaba as a free agent, with an agreement already said to be in place at Stantiago Bernabeu, where the highly-revered left-back will be paid around €12m (£10.44m) per season after tax.
Romano posited that it will make Alaba the joint-third highest-paid player at Madrid, behind only Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale, who both reportedly earn €15m (£13.1m), but Ramos’ future remains uncertain heading into the transfer window, though, as he is yet to agree a new contract with Los Blancos and is free to talk to other clubs.
