Quevilly-Rouen Metropole of France youngster, Daniel Akinleye Jnr has revealed that he has a big dream of one day joining Manchester United, as he believes his career would take a massive leap once he starts playing for The Red Devils, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although he is currently plying his trade in the third-tier division in France, Akinleye believes he has enough talent to make him succeed at Old Trafford, but admits he will have to keep working hard and put in lots more effort to see his dream become a reality.
He went on to reveal that the recent move of former Super Eagles’ striker, Odion Jude Ighalo to United has further boosted his aspiration for a deal in Manchester, as the Nigerian-born young attacker the former Watford star’s story has served as fresh motivation for his prospects.
A report by Birmingham Mail added that the 13-year-old Akinleye has already caught attention at Aston Villa, who are making moves to formally approach Quevilly-Rouen for the youngster, who is also said to be attracting several other English Premier League clubs.
The highly-rated kid, who was this year promoted to Quevilly-Rouen’s under-15 side, has drawn lots of scouts to watch him play, but Akinleye, who was born to Nigerian parents in France, says his wish to follow in the footsteps of Ighalo and play for Man U.
Akinleye told allnigeriasoccer.com: “My dream club where I wish to play for in future is Manchester United like Odion Jude Ighalo. My qualities as a striker; speed, strong, technique. I need to improve my left foot, my finishing in front of goal and maturity in my game.”
