PAOK Saloniki of Greece midfielder, Anderson Esiti has been linked with a loan move to Goztepe complete with an option for a permanent transfer, with the Turkish Super Lig side set to pay 2.5 million Euro to buy him at the end of the season.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that the deal would see Esiti link forces with Aide Brown Ideye and Obinna Nwobodo at the Turkish side, with the former KAA Gent holding midfielder expected to leave PAOK, which he joined in 2018 for 3.5m Euro.
The 26-year-old Esiti, who has made 13 league appearances this season, has a contract running with PAOK till 2023, but could prefer moving on to join Ideye and Nwobodo, as he seeks another chapter in his highly underachieving career.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Super Lig trio of Kayserispor, BB Erzurumspor and MKE Ankaragucu are interested in signing former West Ham United of England striker, Matthias Fanimo in the ongoing January transfer window, with all having reportedly approached Bosnian top-flight club FK Sarajevo over the signing of the 26-year-old.
However, one stumbling block in the process towards a possible deal is that the three Turkish clubs all want to loan Fanimo for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season with an option to buy inserted into any deal while Sarajevo will only consider an outright sale this month.
With a goal involvement of nine in 23 appearances across all competitions, Fanimo has taken Bosnian football by storm since his arrival at the capital club from Mladost Doboj Kakanj in the summer of 2020, leading to teams battling for his signature.
Although Fanimo has represented England at U16, U17 and U18 levels, he remains eligible to don the Super Eagles jersey, but his hope of moving to a bigger club this window is now out of his hands, as it is left for the interested clubs and the Bosnian champions to reach an agreement.
