Rangers International of Enugu striker, Ajani Ibrahim has disclod that, although he is sad, he is picking positives from his side’s 2-1 loss away to Heartland of Owerri on Sunday, as the former Sunshine Stars of Akure star believes The Flying Antelopes actually gave a good account of themselves in the encounter.
Ajani pointed out that the defeat was more painful because his side played their hearts out, but admitted they just have to pick positives from the game and focus on getting a better result next time out in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Among the positives Ajani is picking is that the Coal City side did not suffer any injury setback during the encounter in Okigwe, Imo State, while also expressing gratitude to God that they had a safe trip to and from the venue.
He declared further during Mega Sports on Star 101.5 FM, Lagos that Rangers will now turn their attention on their next game in the league, where he believes the lessons they learnt from their latest defeat will boost their charge for a revival of fortunes and aspirations for a better result.
Ajani added: “We thank God for everything. We played injury free and nobody died, but we are disappointed with the result. We played well, we tried everything we can, but we still lost the march. We now have to return home and plan for the next match.”
