RB Leipzig of Germany winger, Ademola Lookman has received assurances of long-term comfort and satisfaction from one of the German Bundesliga club’s top shots, who says the Nigerian-born former Everton of England youngster need not worry about his position in the team, megasportsarena.com reports.
In contrast with speculation among many Leipzig fans that Lookman could be on the way this summer, since his second spell with the team was far from as rewarding as it was when he initially played on loan from Everton, the club’s chief executive, Markus Krosche insists everything will be rosy for the lad next season.
He went on to affirm that the Red Bull-owned club do not plan to sell Lookman this summer, regardless of reports linking the former England under-21 international with a return to the Premier League this summer.
Newcastle United’s coach, Steve Bruce is also said to be eyeing a move for the once-fearsome lad, as the Manchester United legend is a long-standing a fan of the soft-spoken winger, but Krosche pointed out that Lookman still has a contract running with RBL until 2024.
Krosche says: “We do not intend to hand him in. Ademola is a young player with a lot of potential. We hope that he will take the next step with us and help us achieve our goals.”
