SV Hamburg of Germany youngster, Xavier Amaechi has been tipped for a loan extension at Bolton Wanderers of England, despite recently battling a long-tem injury that put his career in doubt, megasportsarena.com reports.
However, despite the fitness issues Amaechi has faced in recent time, Hamburg chief executive, Jonas Boldt believes the Nigerian-born former Arsenal of England youth team player has a bright future ahead of him and wants to see him extend his loan with Bolton.
Amaechi was loaned by HSV to Bolton for six months in order to collect regular match time, but the 20-year-old broke his metatarsal at the beginning of the season and he has been out since then.
In spite of the youngster’s battles with injury, a report has emerged that Amaechi’s loan deal, which was originally scheduled to run only until the winter transfer market, could be extended till end of the season.
Amaechi’s expectations in that direction has now received a boost, as Boldt said, “We are in talks. With the injury, it was extremely unfortunate for Xavier. If Bolton has a sensible idea, we can talk about an extension.”
