Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has been ruled out of action against Manchester United this weekend in the English Premier League, thereby denying him the opportunity of playing himself into am possible transfer to The Red Devils.
Megasportsarena.com reports that Ndidi has been battling to recover from a recent injury that knocked him out of honoring Nigeria’s recent World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic, and he is yet to recover in time for Saturday’s EPL fixture.
However, Leicester’s top brass will be happy with the development, as they are not keen on selling him to any club in the January transfer window, not even if United offer them all the money in the world.
While the former Nath Boys of Lagos and Racing Genk of Belgium star might like to take up the offer of a move to Old Trafford, the upper echelon at Leicester are not thinking in the same direction and they have already declared that Ndidi is not for sale.
That has led to reports out of Queensland indicate that Ndidi will not leave King Power Stadium in the winter transfer window nor next summer, but he will remain a player of Leicester beyond the year 2022.
This is despite updated reports that United’s coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjær is planning an official move for the versatile player, though they are yet to formally contact him, his agents or his present club.
The report adds that Ndidi is happy at Leicester and is not thinking of moving on, even as United continue to be linked with a move for a holding midfielder.
It is small wonder that Ndidi keeps emerging as a likely choice as he remains one of the best in his position currently playing in the EPL, while also being crucial to Leicester winning the 2021 English FA Cup and Community Shield.
