SSC Napoli of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen has been tipped to explode into a much more spectacular delivery next season, and do a lot better than he has done in his maiden campaign in the Italian Serie A, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although Osimhen has notched ten goals thus far, which many observers believe has been enough justification of his mammoth transfer fee from Lille Metropole of France last summer, the former VfL Wolfsburg of Germany and Sporting Charleroi of Belgium hitman’s agent insists the best has not been seen of the lad.
The agent, William D’Avila is tipping the Napoli striker to do more than he has done this season in his second campaign with Napoli, while also going on to declare that his ward will equally challenge Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the top scorer’s award.
Osimhen has taken his game to another level in recent weeks, after struggling for form and battling off-field issues in the first half of the season, during which time he was written off by fans and pundits.
However, since recovering from a dislocated shoulder on international duty with Nigerian in November, coronavirus infection in December and a head injury in March, Osimhen has added to his initial haul of two strikes on bull’s eye, with eight goals and two assists from 12 matches.
Three matches to the end of the season, Osimhen is 17 goals behind leading scorer, Juventus’ Ronaldo, while Inter Milan’s Lukaku (21)band AC Milan’s Ibrahimovic (15) have scored more goals than him, but D’Avila affirmed that he expects that to change next season.
D’Avila told Calcio Napoli 24: “Get ready. He is doing his job, he came here to part of the history of Napoli. He will try to do more next season.”
