Victor Osimhen will be out of action for two weeks (14 days), pending further tests, no thanks to the injury he copped in Wednesday’s Champions League match against Liverpool, Megasportsarena.com reports.
It means the striker will miss Napoli’s next Champions League clash against Glasgow Rangers, and the trip to Milan next weekend.
Meanwhile, former Real Madrid defender Jonathan Woodgate believes Osimhen is destined for the Premier League.
Osimhen was a handful for Liverpool at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Wednesday night, though he missed a penalty and also got injured in the match he was menacing throughout his time on the pitch.
The 23-year-old started the match on a high, hitting a post inside 45 seconds and winning a penalty that Alisson Becker saved after he was clipped by Virgil van Dijk.
Woodgate believes the Nigerian has done enough in the encounter to underline his potential for English football.
