Details have emerged in the latest injury copped by Inter Milan of Italy winger, Victor Moases, as medics at the Italian ASerie A club disclosed that the lad on loan with Chelsea has a muscle strain in his left thigh.
Megasportsarena.com gathetred that, although no specific time table has yet been issued on how long Moses will be out, feelers from Milan indicate that the former Super Eagles’ star could miss his club’s next two matches.
This is sequel to confirmation by The Nerazzurri’s medics that the 29-year-old star, who cut short a loan deal at Fernebahce in order to join Inter last summer, got injured while playing all 90 minutes of his side’s UEFA Europa League victory over Ludogorets of Bulgaria last Thursday.
Incidentally, injury woes had been the same problem Moses faced at Fernebahce, which caused his falling out with the team’s top brass, who were agitated by his long absences due to varying blights, and he is now set to miss this Thursday’s Coppa Italia match against Napoli.
The ex-England youth international and member of Nigeria’s squad to the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, before which he won gold with the Eagles at South Africa 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, also faced similar muscle problems in the first half of the season while at Fenerbahce, thereby seeing him play only seven matches in all competitions and faced several health checks.
It was thought that his injury worries were a thing of the past but he has returned to the treatment room, but Moses will now have to start saying his prayers anew, as the latest blight has also ruled him out of this weekend’s Serie A match against US Sassuolo.
In contrast with the joy of helping his team advance to the Europa League round of 16 with a 4-1 aggregate win over Ludogorets, Moses will be sad to hear that he is now set for another spell on the sidelines due to injury.
The club confirmed as much on Tuesday, after Moses underwent medical tests on Monday and it was diagnosed that he has a muscle injury, which will need complete rest for him to fully recover, though the severity of the complaint was not disclosed.
Inter’s medical unit stated: “Victor Moses underwent medical tests at the Humanitas Research Hospital in Rozzano this morning, with an MRI scan on his left thigh. Results showed a strained muscle, with the player’s condition to be reassessed in the coming days.”
