Manchester City of England youth team player, Tosin Adarabioyo has expressed delight over the completion of his loan deal at Blackburn Rovers and stated his appreciation at the opportunity he got to feature in the English Championship, megasportsarena.com reports.
This comes after Rovers confirmed that Adarabioyo, who has been on the books of Man City since the age of five and his contract with The Citizens expires at the end of next season, has returned to his parent club after his loan spell came to an end on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old stopper, who has played non-competitive matches for England’s youth teams in recent years, had an impressive stay at Ewood Park, making 35 appearances in total across all competitions; during which his brilliant finish against Bristol City was second in Blackburn’s Goal of the Season, while he also hit target versus Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic.
Although it is not certain yet if Man City will retain him for next season in the English Premier League, the Nigerian-born England youth international said he wants to relish the satisfaction of the moment for now, considering how he got to play regularly as a senior player for the first time in his career.
He went on to describe his time with Blackburn as a ‘joyful season,’ in which he was able to help the second-tier club to a number of happy days in the English Championship, for which he also thanked the players, coaches, officials and fans for helping him make the best of his time on loan from Etihad Stadium to Ewood Park.
During his time with Rovers, Adarabioyo committed his international future to Nigeria, as he took another step forward in showing his preference for the Super Eagles, whose replica jersey has once donned some years back on the country’s Independence Day, while affirming his love for the three-time African champions.
He will now hope to lay claim for a solid return at Man City, as he hopes to cement a place in The Citizens’ main team next season, which could propel him towards an invitation to the Nigerian squad, as he believes the experience he gathered at Blackburn will come in handy,
The soft-spoken lad took to social media to reveal his thoughts, which he disclosed are loaded with gratitude to everyone that made his stay all through the outgoing season very exciting and fruitful at Blackburn; with a view that he has gained enough experience to guide him into the future for better days ahead of him in his career.
Adarabioyo posted: “After a joyful season, my time at @Rovers has come to an end. I’ve had the best experience and lessons on the pitch, in my whole career so far. I’d just like to thank the gaffer, my teammates, the backroom staff and every single fan who’s supported me this season! 💪🏾.”
