Sevilla Femenino of Spain attacker, Antoinette (Toni) Modupe Payne has disclosed how excited she is with her co0ntract extension with the club, where she says life has been pleasant for her since first arriving three years ago.
The Nigerian female national, Super Falcons’ rookie added that she is now thinking of making a better and bigger impact with the Spanish Primera Iberdrola side Sevilla, who also stated delight with Payne’s new contract with the club.
Megasportsarena.com reports that Payne, who played for Duke Blues Devils of USA and Ajax Amsterdam of Netherlands before joining Sevilla, will now stick with Las Rojiblancas until at least June 30, 2024 having put pen to paper on a three-year pact.
The enterprising attacker, who was born in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, has played 81 games in the Spanish women’s top-flight league since her debut for Sevilla, with 16 goals to her name.
Payne stressed that she is happy to extend her stay at her current base and added: “I am excited to continue here and thus be able to continue helping the team, I feel very comfortable in Seville.
“I have been here for three years, I like the club’s project and I want to continue growing in this place. I have learned a new style of football, I have improved a lot by learning from my coaches and my teammates.
“I want to continue doing so. Personally I have played with Nigeria this season and next season I want to continue doing it and with it improve in Seville.”
