Startling information on offer from England reveals that Chelsea’s Nigerian-born striker, Tammy Abraham is bound to leave Stamford Bridge this month, in order to give way to the expected return of Romelu Lukaku.
Megasportsarena.com reports that this is the latest angle in a myriad of speculations swirling round Abraham’s future in London, where The Blues’ gaffer, Thomas Tuchel is not a fan of his.
With Tuchel seemingly turning towards Inter Milan of Italy sensation, Lukaku as his marquee signing in the transfer window, Abraham has to be shipped out.
Dramatically, though, the Nigerian-born England international could also be on his way to Italy, as Atalanta BC are now reportedly in the hunt for the lanky lad.
Abraham has already caught the eye of Arsenal and Aston Villa, who he helped gain promotion back to the English Premier League three seasons ago be emerging top scorer in the lower division Championship.
However, while speculation lingers over his next port of call, transfer market observers are quick to ascertain that Abraham surely has to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge because of the impending arrival of Lukaku.
The report adds: “Atalanta BC have identified Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham as a potential summer transfer target.
“Despite being Chelsea’s top goalscorer when Thomas Tuchel arrived in January, Abraham spent the second half of the campaign on the periphery of the first-team squad.
“The Blues are known to be in the market for a new frontman with Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku eventually expected to re-join the club over the coming weeks.
“According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta will react by attempting to agree a deal with the European Champions for Abraham.
“Romano suggests that the 23-year-old is regarded as an alternative to Duvan Zapata, who may replace Lukaku at San Siro.
“Abraham has two years left on his contract and Chelsea may demand as much as £40m for his signature.”
