Crotone of Italy striker, Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo (Simy) is attracting summer transfer interest from two Italian Serie A clubs wih strong Nigerian traditions, as Udinese and Genoa are reportedly in the hunt for his signature.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that, with ‘Simy’ currently on top of his game and recently becoming the highest scoring African player ever in the Italian top-flight, the former Gil Vicente of Portugal giant is sure to get offers this summer.
That is now turning out to be a reality, as he keeps standing out despite the relegation woes facing Crotone, with strong hints now coming his way from Genoa, who signed Stephen Ayodele Makinwa several years ago, as well Udinese, who still hold the contract of William Troost-Ekong, now on loan at Watford of England.
Udinese have also paid the wages of Christian Ndubuisi Obodo (Bundle of Skills), Odion Jude Ighalo and Isaac Success in the past, such that ‘Simy’ should find himself in healthy environment should have move to either of his suitors in the summer transfer window.
Simy is Crotone’s all-time top scorer with 62 goals from 151 appearances in all competitions since joining the club five years ago and, though his current contract runs out on June 30, 2022, the Super Eagles’ fringe player at Russia 2018 World Cup could jolly well be on his way this summer.
