Sadiq Umar could miss the rest of the season with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The Real Sociedad forward who moved from Almeria less than a month ago has been diagnosed with a rupture of the ACL, and the news would be devastating for club/Nigerian fans who expected lots of goals from the striker.
The Nigerian striker sustained the injury in Real Sociedad’s 2-1 defeat at Getafe in a La Liga game on Sunday.
The club has informed that Sadiq ‘will undergo surgical treatment in the days ahead and the club says further information will be provided by the club in the coming days.’
