CAF Champions League: Bayelsa Queens Draw Defending Champions In ‘Group Of Death’

Bayelsa Queens have been drawn with Mamelodi Sundowns in the Group B of the  CAF Women’s Champions League, reports Megasportsarena.com. 

The second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League is scheduled to take place from 30 October to 13 November 2022 in Morocco, and it will feature some high-profile matches.

In group B, defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa will face Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, Egypt’s Wadi Degla and the UNIFFAC representative, in what football watchers on the continent have dubbed the group of death.

The Nigerian side clinched the WAFU B title of the zonal qualifiers for CAF Women’s Champions League after defeating Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies 3-0 in the final to secure their place at the tournament in Morocco.

In group A, the host club ASFAR FC (Morocco), which won the Women’s Champions League the bronze medal in Egypt last year, will face Tanzania’s Simba Queens, Zambia’s Green Buffaloes and Liberia’s Determine Girls.
