AS Monaco of France striker, Henry Onyekuru is set to make a shock return to his former club, Galatasaray of Turkey, on loan, come January 4, 2020, megasportsarena.com gathered.
This is sequel to an agreement reached between Monaco and Galatasaray to see the Super Eagles’ winger-cum-attacker return to the club that sold him last summer, as he has not found the going smooth in Ligue 1.
With the transfer window set to open in Turkey on the 4th of January, Onyekuru is now billed to retrace his footsteps to the Turkish Super Lig, having already agreed personal terms with Gala, and Monaco have equally given consent to a deal.
This has paved the way for Onyekuru to return to the Istanbul-based club in the January transfer window, as he seeks to reenact the form he had with them last season, before losing that spree of playing opportunities since joining Monaco in August.
This Saturday will make it three months since Onyekuru last featured for the Principality side, such that the 22-year-old lad has been disillusioned all this while, and he is now eager to return to Gala, despite having other bids from been linked with possible moves to teams Lokomotiv Moscow and Spartak Moscow of Russia as well as Real Sociedad of Spain.
The former KAS Eupen and RSC Anderlecht of Belgium star, who had been on loan for Everton since 2017, but never got to play a single match for The Toffees, is now heading back to Istanbul at the start of the 2020, and Galatasaray are poised to confirm his capture in the coming week.
This comes after they Galatasaray successfully negotiated a loan agreement with Monaco and Onyekuru, who excelled while on loan from Everton with The Yellow-Reds during the 2018/19 campaign, with 16 goals in 44 games and helped them win the domestic double, will now aim to be back on fertile hunting ground when the winter transfer window opens on January 4.
